SKINCARE: Victory BLC Therapy

BLC therapy

You guys know I love trying different things when it comes to makeup and skincare. I’ll try just about anything once which is why I was very intrigued when VICTORY BLC Therapy at Chatswood got in contact with me to give me some information on what BLC Therapy is and to see if I’d be interested in trying it.

Let’s start with what it actually is, BLC Therapy is described as the “permeation of BLC serum which contains substances required by the skin to regenerate new cells such as hyaluronic acid, growth factors and protein.” This is done by using a small, metal roller that helps to infuse the serum into the skin. It claims to help with acne, eczema, pigmentation, skin rejuvenation, hair grown when the scalp is treated and other health benefits.

In the lead up to my appointment I wasn’t too sure what to expect because I couldn’t find too much information online about this therapy I had never heard of before but once I turned up to my session I was taken through everything step by step and had all of my questions answered during the super informative consult stage. I find some facial spas etc don’t spend enough time prior to an appointment finding out about your skin and concerns before they launch into a treatment so I knew I was in good hands when they really took the time to look at my skin, ask questions and explain.

Now for the actual treatment. The VICTORY BLC Therapy Clinic was very private, clean and welcoming from the minute I arrived. I was taken to a treatment room where I changed and jumped up onto what can only be described as the most luxurious and comfortable bed I have ever come across during a facial. It was heated which made it super cosy and that was the perfect start to what would over an hour or facial, scalp and upper back massage with the roller. It was so super relaxing that I’m fairly sure I feel into that asleep but kinda awake stage quite a few times.

I was really impressed with the results. Immediately after the treatment my skin was feeling amazing and I was super relaxed. Before the treatment we had take some photos and we took some after photos as well (below). I was amazed to see that the small, red bumps that I had on the top of my cheek bones in particular had greatly reduced in size and texture. In fact, the texture of my skin was much smoother and more hydrated overall and I had noticed a reduction in redness which is something a pale, ranga like me suffers with a little. I also have the type of face prone to puffiness. For example, when I wake up some mornings my face is quite puffy and in particular, my lips, they look like I’ve had them injected with something, that is until I’ve been upright for a few hours then things start to calm down. I found this treatment really helped to reduce any puffiness in my face and I assume any fluid retention due to the roller and the increased blood flow.

Overall I would definitely recommend giving this treatment a try. If you visit their website they have some further before and after images of people with all different skin concerns which is really interesting! Would you be interested in trying this? Let me know in the comment below.

Thanks for reading,

Ash =)
